Ever since hubby rafted a couple years ago, I could not wait for myself to get into the waters and experience the thrills. Finally, the past weekend I got a chance to go to Ducktown….and did I hear someone say it is a quacking good place to be !!
We rafted on the Ocoee River in Tennessee – the Middle Ocoee, about 20 class 3 rapids, crammed with waves and holes, was never a dull moment – gave us all a nice adrenaline rush…. The most exciting one was the last one – the Hell’s Hole – this one was the biggest wave on the river. Right after the wave we were droppped into a large hydraulic…and right after that are the two last ledges… a great grand finale and a GREAT RIDE !!
Ofcourse, not to forget other great rapids – Table Saw, Double Trouble……, a great guide, great weather, awesome water, wonderful company, we really did have a swell of a time.
The 1996 Summer Olympics ‘Whitewater Slalom’ event was hosted by the Ocoee River, however the Olympic course is a part of the Upper Ocoee. So the next time, the plan is to raft on the Upper Ocoee !!
